Personal data protection

You are looking for that one stay at the holiday park you've been eagerly anticipating. When you're ready to book, we ask for your personal information. Naturally, at that moment, you want to know what will happen with that information. In this privacy policy, we explain what data we collect and what we do with it.

The website HolidayParkSpecials.nl is owned, offered, and managed by AddGuests B.V. (hereafter referred to as: AddGuests, we, us, or our). We respect and protect the privacy of you as a user of our website https://www.holidayparkspecials.co.uk/.

What personal data do we collect from you?

When you use our website, we may collect the following personal data:

  • First and last name;
  • Email address;
  • Phone number;
  • Address details;
  • Payment method (when you make a booking with us);
  • Your email address and personal preferences when you add them to your newsletter profile;
  • IP address;
  • Browser software and operating system;
  • The time and date the website is visited through cookies. If you want to know more about cookies, please read our cookie statement;
  • Other personal data you provide to us via email or the contact form.

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years old, unless they have permission from their parents or a guardian. However, we cannot verify the age of a visitor. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children's online activities to prevent data from being collected about children without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us at privacy@bungalowspecials.nl, and we will delete this information.

Why do you collect my personal data? 

As you have read, we collect various personal data. There are several reasons for this, which we would like to explain.

Perhaps the most important reason: we collect personal data to process the reservation of your stay at a holiday park. And if you have made a reservation, we naturally want to send you a confirmation, as well as information about your stay. Last but not least, we want to know how your stay was and may use your data for reviews of the holiday park.

In addition to asking you for a review of the holiday park, we also highly value a review about us. We do this through Trustpilot. After making a booking, you will be asked to rate our service on the independent platform Trustpilot.

If you have signed up for the newsletter, we would like to inform you about our services and products. We send the newsletter twice a week with the best deals at that moment, and, if relevant, an additional time with deals that are exclusively interesting to you. Don't want to receive the newsletter anymore? You can always easily unsubscribe by clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of the newsletter.

Sometimes we have promotional offers that perfectly match your preferences based on what you have previously booked with us. We don't want you to miss out on these promotional offers, so we will send them to you personally. We do this through physical mail. We will never do this more than three times a year, it will always be based on your interests and previously booked holidays with us, and we won't send you any mail if your last booking with us was more than three years ago. For these promotional mailings, we only use the strictly necessary information (name and address). It is possible that your data may be shared with the party we collaborate with to send out the promotional mail via PostNL. This third party is not allowed to do anything else with your data, except for sending the mail that we request them to send.

To send the best holiday parks and the most enjoyable inspiration, we want to know the behavior of our target audience. Therefore, we may use data for market research to analyze user behavior statistically. This can be done, for example, by analyzing the data we have obtained through your visit to our website.

In the context of quality assurance, we may record telephone conversations conducted with our service desk staff. This is also in connection with complaints and disputes, and for conducting audits. We will always inform you in advance if we record a telephone conversation.

Finally, there are also legal obligations that we must comply with. For example, to demonstrate that we are an existing company and make real reservations for guests like you.

If you do not want us to use your data for the purposes mentioned above, you can send an email to privacy@bungalowspecials.nl. We will then remove your information from our systems. We have three months by law to do this.

With whom do you share my personal data?

We only share your personal data with third parties when we have a valid reason to do so. In accordance with our legal obligations under the "General Data Protection Regulation," we only collaborate with parties that meet the required standards through a data processing agreement.

Sharing with parks To process your reservation correctly, we are required to forward your personal data to the holiday park for which the reservation has been made.

Sharing with software companies In addition to explicitly sharing your reservation details with the booked holiday park, we also use software solutions that store data outside of our office network. This includes cloud services such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

Sharing with others (no hotels) Furthermore, we may provide your personal data to third parties to comply with laws and regulations or in the context of legal proceedings, a court order, or another compulsory order.

How long do you keep my personal data?

We do not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for different categories.

Personal data when making a reservation We keep this data for 7 years after your stay has taken place or your reservation has been canceled. This is legally required.

Your data when you subscribe to the newsletter We do not retain this data longer than necessary. Why? You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can easily do this by clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of the newsletter. After you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your data will be deleted.

Personal data following contact with our customer service We retain this data for up to 1 year after contact with our customer service. Additionally, phone conversations are recorded for training purposes. We have a legitimate interest in using these interactions to further improve our services.

How do you protect my data?

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. In cases of misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification, we take appropriate measures.

Good to know: AddGuests B.V. does not make decisions based on automated processing that could have significant consequences for individuals. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems without human intervention (for example, an employee of AddGuests B.V.).

If you suspect that your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us immediately at privacy@bungalowspecials.nl.

How can I view, modify, or delete my data?

You always have the right to view, modify, or delete your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw any consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by AddGuests B.V., and you have the right to data portability.

In short, you can submit a request to view, correct, delete, or transfer the personal data we have about you. Or you can withdraw your consent for us to use your data.

How do we verify your identity? To ensure that the specific request regarding your data is indeed made by you, we ask a few verification questions. We may ask for a combination of details such as your booking number and phone number or contact date and phone number, etc. These verification questions typically take place via email.

When can I expect a response? We will respond to your request within four weeks.
